Gender Equality Policy

SB+ integrates gender equality principles into its processes, ensuring equal opportunities in staff presence and professional growth, including technical and leadership roles, in accordance with UNI/PdR 125:2022.

The organization’s purpose and efforts

SB+ operates in design, construction supervision, and safety coordination for public and private works, systems, and infrastructure, with a particular focus on public procurement and interventions on protected historical and artistic heritage.

In this context, the organization integrates gender equality principles into its processes, ensuring equal opportunities in staff presence and professional growth, including technical and leadership roles, and promoting inclusion, respect, and the valuing of diversity with a view toward continuous improvement.

The six areas covered by UNI/PdR 125:2022

The organization’s focus is on the six areas defined by the reference practice for gender equality certification: culture and strategy, with inclusion values integrated into corporate objectives; governance, with defined roles and responsibilities to oversee equality; HR processes, with gender-neutral selection, evaluation, and growth; opportunities, with equal access to career and development paths; pay equity, with compensation based on role, responsibility, and results; parenting, with protection and support for maternity, paternity, and caregiving.

Selection and hiring

Selection is gender-neutral and based on skills and experience. No information on family status or pregnancy is requested; the gender balance of the workforce is monitored.

Career management

Professional growth is based on merit and skills, with transparent and accessible paths and a balanced presence in leadership roles.

Pay equity

Compensation, bonuses, and benefits are defined based on objective and transparent criteria, with the right to report any disparities.

Parenting and caregiving

SB+ supports maternity and paternity in compliance with Legislative Decree 151/2001, with reintegration paths and work-family balance measures.

Work-life balance

Flexibility tools—part-time, flexible hours, remote work—are available to all staff where compatible with the organization.

Prevention of abuse and harassment

The organization adopts a zero-tolerance approach, with confidential reporting channels, whistleblower protection, and timely, impartial management of reports.

Review

This policy is disseminated to all staff and is subject to periodic review by Management to ensure its adequacy and effectiveness.
